: thank you for joining us. jenna: "america live" with megyn kelly starts right now. megyn: fox news alert. an all-out war between israel and hamas bulletins in the gaza strip. welcome to a "america live." i am megyn kelly and we have a lot of breaking news to go through with you. moments ago, reuters reporting that israel's defense minister asked to mobilize some 70,000 israeli troops. in what is being called preparation for a likely ground invasion of gaza. the u.n. called on both sides to back down. megyn: earlier today for the first time since 1970, at least two rockets, the first time since 1970. at least two rockets were fired at jerusalem, landing in an open area south of the city. no casualties reported so far. to shelters that have not been used for decades. for the second day in a row, israel's largest city, tel aviv, also came under rocket fire and the rocket landed in an unoccupied area and in tel aviv residents are very concerned about the increased range of the rockets being fired from gaza. it is interesting to note that now more than half of israel's population is in range of the rockets. there have been at least 150 rockets fired in the last 24 hours and half of them have been intercepted by israel's defense system. there are now plans to expand the system. there are now four batteries in place with another planned. the israelis would like to increase the number if the conflict continues to escalate. >>trace: with a million israelis in bomb shelters, david lee miller live in late evening on the gaza border. we will have more reaction coming up inside "studio b" including what this means for the u.s. relationship with egypt. but, first, the former c.i.a. director, general petraeus, today, testified on the deadly attack in benghazi, libya, that killed four americans, including our ambassador.

'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. is the libyan situation another watergate? that is the subject of this evening's talk points memo. today on capitol hill, senate intelligence committee began hearings about the murder of the ambassador to libya and three other americans in benghazi on 9-11. as you may know, the obama administration will not define exactly what happened. the press has been largely negligent in pursuing the story. now the testimony is under oath, so it's serious. there are two ways this thing could go. first, into a watergate type spectacle with cover-ups and goh gus statements to the american people, or second. >> it could be a big nothing. a human error that spiraled out of control. the problem is compounded by the president's refusal to define anything. he continues to say there is an investigation, so he can't even give us basic facts like when prosecute you told, mr. president, about the attack in benghazi? an answer to that question cannot possibly impact any investigation, nevertheless, mr. obama refuses to provide it. that raised all kinds of conspiraciy th
